In the high-performance range, printing systems only reach their full potential with efficient finishing systems. The Hunkeler DocuTrim is a multifunctional system for online sheet processing that satisfies the requirements of the latest generation of printers. It produces online on sheet-fed printing systems and also works offline.  With its individually combinable cutting, perforating and creasing in the dynamic multi-processor (DMP), the system already addresses the market requirements of tomorrow. It enables the cutting of various formats and position-independent slit cuts and chip-outs. Thanks to the system‘s modular structure, the wide range of solutions can be individually extended.

Pile feeder (FSA-52)

The sheet delivered by the pile feeder FSA-52 (offline) or directly by the printer (inline) is transferred to the module.


Defined interface for connection to the printer and processing of printer signals. Optional equipped with matrix camera. GUI for easy job setup.

Dynamic Multi Processor (DMP1)

Dynamic function such as perforating. The slitting unit can divide the sheet vertically or trim to net format with an edge and gutter-cut for edge trimming applications.


The sheet cut on two sides is deflected by 90 degrees in the sequencer (corner module) and re-aligned. The sheet can be output to the left and right. This allows additional finishing such as a bookletmaker or folder to be integrated into the system.

Dynamic Multi Processor (DMP2)

The sheet fed by the sequencer is trimmed in the second DMP at the untrimmed edges at the side of the edge and thus the document is trimmed to the final format. Optionally, a separating or gutter cut for 2-up processing can be made.


The sheet is then transferred to the separator, where the sheets are moved 9 millimeters using the innovative process of the 2-level airlock. This is done either by printer signal or by code control.


The documents are transferred carefully in the stacker. The stacker, in which stacks up to 220 mm high can be made, transfers the stack to the delivery belt.

At the end of the stack, the stacks are transferred to the following delivery belt. The stack height is about 2000 sheets at 80 g/m2.
