The cross cut cylinder includes unique features such as dynamic change of the chip out and cross cut length or an additional cross perforation for a folding application. The anti-curl brushes on the chip out cylinder remove static charges and preserve the tension of the paper web for optimum paper transport supported by a unique air support system for light weight papers.
The cross cut cylinder in the CS8 can be equipped either with two knives for variable chip out, or with one cutting knife and one perforating blade to produce dynamic folding perforations.
