POPP technology for web widths of up to 762 mmAt innovationdays.2005 in Lucerne, Hunkeler presented its new POPP6 generation finishing concept to the professional world (POPP = Printer Online Paper Processing). To handle the challenge of processing full color documents in the environment of modern high performance digital printing systems with fast-changing production speeds, this technology was based on an all-new platform.

Under the 'huncolor ready' quality label which establishes a common denominator for the color capability of POPP technology, over 1,000 modules are already in use worldwide for web widths of up to 520 mm (20.5 inches). Meanwhile, with its new POPP7, Hunkeler has extended this successful concept to the next higher category for web widths of up to 762 mm (30 inches), so permitting 3-up-production in DIN A4 portrait format. This further underlines the Swiss company's claim to leadership as a supplier of color-capable quality solutions for computer centers, print on demand, mailing producers and on demand newspaper production on color digital print systems using all kinds of different techniques.
