BfA Berlin - Pinless Mergen minimises production costs The Berlin-based Bundesversicherungsanstalt für Angestellte (BfA), West Germany's social security services provider, is currently producing an average of 1.2 million DIN A4 pages per day. This high print volume, and the corresponding cost of personnel and paper, demands highly efficient production methods. To meet their efficiency and cost reduction targets, BfA decided that unmanned night-time operations and pinless paper processing without edge guide holes were key factors.
